Body Parts Affected by Influenza
Influenza affects the muscle and joints in the body and is most common in the back and legs. There are also other parts of the body that are affected, but it highly depends on the strain of the influenza. Some other body parts include the respiratory and the immune systems. The respiratory system can be somewhat damaged by the flu as a result of the immune system not fighting back or overacting from the virus. The virus also affects the throat as it becomes extremely sore and people tend to find it hard to swallow solid food. The blood vessels in the brain swell, causing pressure and creating a headache.
