The Origin of Influenza
The origin of the influenza has still yet to be confirmed, but there are leads showing that it originated from North America domestic and wild birds. Other articles and researchers have also said that the virus had originated from Europe and then spread to the US. Influenza Type A evolution was from traces of different animal hosts over two centuries. Birds have mostly been the one to blame as in 2005 a genetic analysis was performed, as a preserved tissue from the 1918 pandemic was pulled from a victim’s body and it concluded that it closely matched the host of domestic and wild birds. Although in 2009 a study found that the viral genes circulated in human for at least 2 to 15 years before the 1918 pandemic.

Two sources have explained that the origin of the virus has not been confirmed yet, from testing and research scientists have been able to predict the origin of the Influenza. One prediction was that it started off in Europe and transmitted its way to North America. The second prediction was that the origin was America and it quickly transmitted to Europe.
The Spread and Transmission of Influenza
The spread of the virus is quite easy and many people can be contaminated with the disease by just having close interaction with each other. It is simple as not covering your mouth when you cough as germs can easily be passed on with people aroud you, and not covering your nose when you sneeze is one of the common ways the flu can spread. Also, the spread of the virus can also be obtained by people touching an object or surface that is contaminated. The virus is also obtained by a person by transmission of inhaling virus-laden aerosols.
